Artist vinyl values

Fleetwood Mac vinyl values.
Originals, album by album.

Fleetwood Mac's 1975 album and Tusk came either side of Rumours and sold in the millions, so original copies are easy to find. Most sell for $10 to $20 on Discogs. What lifts a copy is completeness: the textured jacket and lyric sheet on the 1975 album, and the embossed cover and four numbered inner sleeves on Tusk.

Fleetwood Mac original vinyl value overview

Count the paper before you grade the vinyl. A Tusk set missing an inner sleeve or a 1975 album without its lyric sheet belongs in a lower price band than a complete copy. Recent reissues of Tusk often sell for more than worn originals.

How to compare the right copies

An artist name and album title describe the music, not the manufacturing history. Work from the physical evidence before using any value range.

  1. Check the catalog number: MS 2225 is the original 1975 issue and MSK 2281 the later renumbered pressing; Tusk is 2HS 3350.
  2. On Tusk, count four inner sleeves numbered 1 to 4 and look for 'RCA Music Service' on the back, which marks a record club copy.
  3. Read the dead wax: KENDUN and the POGO etch on the 1975 album, MASTERED BY CAPITOL on Tusk.

04

What moves a copy toward the top of the range

The strongest value signal is a complete set of details that all point to the same issue. For the albums covered here, pay particular attention to:

  • Fleetwood Mac: MS 2225 with early rim text, the POGO etch, a clean textured jacket and the lyric sheet; promo copies have sold for a median of $50 on Discogs.
  • Tusk: Embossed jacket with all four numbered inner sleeves and clean discs; the 2021 reissue (R1 3350) sells for more than most worn originals.

A later reissue in excellent condition can still be a great listening copy. It should simply be compared with reissue sales rather than original-press prices.

A few questions

The ones that come up.

Among the albums covered here, near-mint confirmed originals span $25–$60. The exact album, pressing, completeness, and condition determine the price, so use the linked album guide rather than treating that span as a blanket artist value.

Match the release-year label, complete catalog number, both runout matrices, jacket construction, and any original inserts. No single color, logo, or matrix fragment proves the whole pressing by itself.
