Artist vinyl values
Keith Whitley vinyl values.
Originals, album by album.
Keith Whitley recorded for RCA from his 1984 mini-album until his death in May 1989. Discogs lists no vinyl reissue of L.A. to Miami or I Wonder Do You Think of Me, so the 1980s pressings are the only LP copies of either album, and clean ones sell for roughly $90 to $200.

Keith Whitley original vinyl value overview
Catalog numbers matter more than label colors here. L.A. to Miami exists as an eight-song 1985 LP (CPL1-7043) and a ten-song 1986 LP (AEL1-5870), and I Wonder Do You Think of Me was pressed in both the US and Canada under the same number. Check the track list and the runouts before you compare prices.

How to compare the right copies
An artist name and album title describe the music, not the manufacturing history. Work from the physical evidence before using any value range.
- Count the songs on L.A. to Miami: eight means CPL1-7043, ten means the 1986 AEL1-5870 edition.
- On I Wonder Do You Think of Me, look for 'Made in USA' and Emw in the runouts; Canadian copies share the catalog number, credit BMG Music Canada, and sell for much less.
- Grade the jacket and vinyl separately; sealed copies of both albums have sold for well above the opened-copy range.

What moves a copy toward the top of the range
The strongest value signal is a complete set of details that all point to the same issue. For the albums covered here, pay particular attention to:
- I Wonder Do You Think of Me: A near-mint US 9809-1-R with the Emw and Georgetown runouts; NM copies have sold on eBay for $150–160, and sealed copies have brought $133 to $250.
- L.A. to Miami: A sealed CPL1-7043; one sold on eBay for $675 in January 2026, far above the roughly $135 Discogs median.
A later reissue in excellent condition can still be a great listening copy. It should simply be compared with reissue sales rather than original-press prices.
A few questions
The ones that come up.
Among the albums covered here, near-mint confirmed originals span $90–$200. The exact album, pressing, completeness, and condition determine the price, so use the linked album guide rather than treating that span as a blanket artist value.
Match the release-year label, complete catalog number, both runout matrices, jacket construction, and any original inserts. No single color, logo, or matrix fragment proves the whole pressing by itself.
